You’ll learn to make several types of simple sewn pamphlets. The small size (3″ x 4.5″) is perfect for carrying in a pocket. All materials will be provided. If you have bookbinding tools (sewing needle, awl, bone folder), bring them; or we’ll have tools you can borrow.  FREE

Instructor Karen Lightner

Karen Lightner earned an MFA in Photography and Book Arts in 1981 at Visual Studies Workshop, Rochester, NY. She went on to get an MLS and has held librarian and curator positions at the Free Library since 1983. She is currently the head of the Art and Literature Departments. She is a member of the Guild of Book Workers, and serves on the boards of Philadelphia Center for the Book and Second State Press.
