Join the Philadelphia Center for the Book in collaboration with and at the Concord School House and concurrent with the Revolutionary Germantown Festival that includes a reenactment — at the Cliveden Estate (one block north)— of the Battle of Germantown, from which the Americans, defeated, trudged to Valley Forge.

We will be introduced to the School House, built in 1775 and used as a school until the l890s, and the Upper Burying Ground (established in 1693) and can browse a number of early to 19th century children’s books.

Public transportation available by the 23 bus or (15 minute walk) Chestnut Hill West Regional Rail, Upsal Station
