LITTLE LEXICONS: PHILADELPHIA CENTER FOR THE BOOK MEMBER EXHIBITION

November 4, 2016-January 13, 2017

Philadelphia Center for the Book is seeking member artists to participate in Little Lexicons, an exhibition at the Free Library of Philadelphia’s Parkway Central Library (1901 Vine St., Phila.). Members are invited to submit small book works, measuring less than 5 inches in height and width (closed). Books can contain text, image, both or neither; they can be narrative or sculptural; so long as they are smaller than 5 inches, they are eligible for this exhibition. Applicants can submit up to three books. The exhibition will be curated by the Philadelphia Center for the Book board. Accepted works will be displayed in a closed case, and books will not be handled.

Please note: Work will be on display during our annual Book, Paper, Scissors fair Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 10:00am-4:00pm.

While submissions are open only to members of Philadelphia Center for the Book, anyone may become a member via our website before submission. There is no fee to submit.

Selection notification via email: October 20, 2016
Work to be delivered in person to the Library: October 27, 2016 from 5:00-8:00pm
Work to be delivered via mail to the Library: November 1, 2016
Show opens: November 4, 2016
Closing reception: January 12, 2016
Exhibition dates: November 4, 2016- January 13, 2017
